DMA 101- Sports Logo

Hey, so this is an Everett Silvertips sports logo that I choosed form sportslogo.net, our task was to redo it and color it...

First show you guys some screen prints...

I wasn't really clear by wthat's "layers cover layers" mean while I was in Joe's class, but then I did mess up with the tracing part a bit then I finally get the concept of the pathfinder... Spent 7 hours to do this logo and feel like really unaccurate after I've done, but at least I figured out how to do thisssss!

This was actually the most weird part that I did and got a problem with... I was using the eyedropper tool in Illustrator and could not get the actual color for yellow... I tried it many times and the yellow just seem too bright compare with the original color... So I decide to put the logo pic into PHOTOSHOP and uesed eyedropper tool in PS, then put the RGB code into Illustrator, did spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong... but failed...
